Is "Endgame 2020" and "The Switch" Legit?

Welcome to my review of Nick Giambruno’s presentation, Endgame 2020, or “The Switch.”

In a message that borders on conspiracy theory, Nick claims that the elite are out to get you with a plan to change the financial system. But is there any substance to his claims?

I watched the entire presentation and decided to write this piece to give you an overview of what Giambruno was trying to put across. I also share my opinions on the points he raised for good measure.

What is Endgame 2020 (The Switch)?

Endgame 2020 is a presentation by Nick Giambruno that was designed to promote the Casey Report.

Other than advertising the newsletter, he made the video to bring to our attention an apparent scheme by America’s elite to take money out of people’s wallets. He explains that influential people and institutions are behind a drive to introduce a new “digital currency.”

The consequences of the new currency will be to erode the people’s savings and retirement nest eggs while also allowing the government to invade people’s privacy.

To explain the latter, he claims that the new currency will be traceable and it will enable government agencies to curtail your liberties.

Concerning wiping out people’s savings, he relates the introduction of the new “digital currency” to other major changes to the financial system that have happened before.

This includes:

The Establishment of the Federal Reserve to quell the Panic of 1907
The enactment of the Executive Order 6102 that forced people to surrender their gold coins.
The abolishment of the Gold Standard in the seventies by President Nixon.

He mentions that in each of those events, ordinary people ended up worse off because money was devalued.

Who is Nick Giambruno?

Nick Giambruno is a senior analyst at Casey Research, which is an independent publisher of newsletters and financial advisory services like InvestorPlace and Money Map Press.

He is a contributor to the Casey Report, the flagship service offered by the firm.

Nick has lived and worked in many countries in Europe and the Middle East. Recently, he was in Beirut and Dubai where he was working for an investment bank. His job as a research analyst was to cover North African and Middle Eastern equities.

During his travels, he searches for lucrative investment opportunities in markets that most investors overlook. His goal is to find outsized investment gains.

To achieve that, he identifies major geopolitical and economic trends that enable him to profit from distortions in the market.

He is a CFA charter holder and graduated from college summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance.

How to survive Endgame 2020 (The Switch)

Nick has a solution that should enable people to save themselves from the impending introduction of a cashless system.

He is proposing that the only way to save your money is to invest in a “crisis currency” that will be more reliable than precious metals (the default store of value for centuries).

To sweeten the deal, the “crisis currency” will increase in value and may earn you up to 1,000% gains in a few years.

He says that this has nothing to do with commodities, precious metals, options, bonds, or stocks. And this leads me to believe that he may be talking about investing in cryptocurrencies.

He has written a report discussing the whole issue. It is called The New “Crisis Currency”: Why Every American Should Own at Least $100 of the Hardest Money the World Has Ever Known.

Is Endgame 2020 (The Switch) legit?

I think the Endgame 2020 presentation is legit.

No matter how outrageous some of his claims are, you may learn something new and useful from Nick Giambruno. Besides, he is a credible analyst with an impressive CV.

And about the bizarre claims, to be fair, Nick has been peddling the “War on Cash” rhetoric for a while now. He even wrote an Article in 2016 bemoaning the government’s desire to debase the currency and devalue paper money. Having read that, this presentation appears to be him going full circle on the issue of cash being made irrelevant by the “elite.”

My Final Word on Endgame 2020 (The Switch)

The Endgame 2020 or The Switch is a presentation by Nick Giambruno where he outlines his plans to sidestep the effects of a major financial change. The change, which he claims is being pushed by “America’s elites,” may see the elimination of cash as a form of currency.

Casey Report may be a decent newsletter and he may have raised some valid points towards the end about investing in gold and cryptos but most of what he says may come across to some people as conspiracy theories, and rightly so.

For example, he wrongly cites the decision by businesses to refuse cash payments as a ploy “to prepare for the new financial system.” In reality, those businesses are rejecting cash because it is one of the ways by which coronavirus spreads.

That being said, I wouldn’t discourage you from trying out the Casey Report newsletter. You may benefit from being introduced to new investment perspectives by the legendary Doug Casey.
