There is a buzz about a new opportunity in the cryptocurrency space. I first heard of it from promotional emails forwarded to my inbox. It got me wondering: What is OPM Wealth?

I did my research to learn more about it and here, I’ll be sharing my in-depth review.

What is OPM Wealth?

OPM Wealth is a new program aimed at making money by investing pooled money.

The name OPM is an abbreviation of Other People’s Money.

This is because OPM Wealth helps you use money gathered from a group of subscribers to fund your investments allowing you to create an independent online business.

OPM Wealth uses a model coined by Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the popular book, Rich Dad Poor Dad.

It aims to emulate his lessons on investing. Note that he is not affiliated with OPM Wealth Program.

I have done a review of his latest book, The Lazy Way To Invest In Real Estate too.

Mr. Kiyoski states that you can make money in two ways:

You can use your own money: Bootstrapping yourself will take longer to bear fruits and you require basic financial knowledge.
You can use other people’s money: It is faster but you need to have advanced financial knowledge. Here money will work for you rather than having to work for it.

OPM Wealth borrows from the latter.

In OPM you have to learn the basics of trading in cryptocurrency as they insist on paying using cryptocurrencies.

The program is linked to something called “the Plutus plan,” which I cover later in this review.

Who started OPM Wealth?

Many people think that Stefan Dessalines is the founder but no credible evidence has been found to prove them.

Before he ever got into online marketing, Stefan Dessalines was involved in the film industry. He started as a child actor who later transitioned into a film producer.

He abandoned his career in film and ventured into the mortgage industry where he worked for banks. He soon quit and together with a friend, cofounded their own mortgage company.

The business was doing quite well, garnering over 80 million, but it all went up in smoke due to the 2008 Financial Crisis.

That’s when they transitioned into their present-day ventures in digital marketing.

How does OPM Wealth Work?

To join OPM Wealth, you have to create a free account and use it to access 17 instructional videos in the member’s area.

You can watch the first three videos on your own (for free), then you’ll have to call a consultant to access the next 14 videos.

The videos teach you how to use OPM Wealth. In one of the lessons you learn how to increase your credit score; you need a good credit score to qualify for the funding you need to, for instance, start an online business.

What is the Plutus Plan?

While OPM wealth is the front end of the program, the Plutus plan is the backend resource center that facilitates things like marketing campaigns and all other aspects of the program. It is the engine of the program.

How the Plutus Plan Works

The Plutus Plan is run as an affiliate marketing program that only pays you using cryptocurrency.

To be part of the program you’ll have to choose a package from the following (notice how they are named after Greek gods):

Hermes
Apollo
Athena
Poseidon
Zeus

You have to pay a fee for each package as we’ll see below.

You can also earn a commission for referring other people to the OPM wealth system to take a course on cryptocurrencies. You will also be paid in crypto.

On top of the training, you will receive a gift based on the package you partake.

How You Make Money on OPM Wealth

You can make money by either purchasing a Plutus Plan or being an affiliate marketer.

The latter will only start earning after five successful sales and the package holder will qualify for commission after one successful sale.

A payout is processed after a request. You will be paid in crypto, which will be one of Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin.

Any purchase you make will be paid for using the coin they pay you with. For example, if they pay you in Bitcoin, you can only pay in Bitcoin.

If you decide to get all the five packages, the system offers additional funding.

Subscription Fee

For you to start earning, you will have to purchase a Plutus Plan package priced as follows:

Hermes ($2000)
Apollo ($5000)
Athena ($8500)
Poseidon ($14500)
Zeus ($27500)

You may also be granted free access by selling products to other people.

Is OPM Wealth Legit?

OPM Wealth is legit and looks good on paper; however, its practicality is something I would not count on.

I don’t think it is a scam per se, but I will not be recommending it.

Although OPM Wealth offers training, the quality of that training is not good enough to justify the hefty prices.

If you are interested in investment training, I’d highly recommend training programs from experts such as Lloyd Knapman and Keala Kanae. You may even get some free training online.

Additional reasons why I don’t recommend OPM Wealth are:

Stefan Dessalines has been linked to scam programs like Freebie Money Printer.
OPM Wealth’s compensation structure looks like an MLM scheme.
Products are only sold to insiders, thus the more people you can bring in the more you make.
OPM Wealth system has hidden charges. So for instance, whenever you want to withdraw the profits accrued from your sales, you have to purchase traffic from the admin.

My Final Word on OPM Wealth

In my view, OPM Wealth is intended to get you entangled in a messy cycle that’ll result in loss of money. It still operates legally.

Scammers now use the cryptocurrency buzz because it enables them to bring in people who would jump at any chance to make money from the lucrative crypto boom.

This has been the case with cryptocurrency MLMs such as USI Tech and Bitcoin Frontiers that unexpectedly shut down leaving investors in financial strife.

I stopped short of calling it a scam as some lucky people will end up benefiting from the system; however, a great majority will suffer losses.
