Paul Mampilly is quite popular these days, seeing as many people are keen to know who he is.
Some people look him up after encountering one of his newsletters, while others search his name on the internet to know his net worth.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that anybody interested in his work would like to know whether he is legitimate, or a scam artist.
And you can’t blame anyone for wanting to know the truth considering how the internet is chock full of scammers and fraudsters, unfortunately.
Does that mean that we should categorize Paul as a fraudster? I think we should give him a chance… look into his services and strategy objectively to know where he fits; legit or fraudster.
I have done several reviews where I have exposed unscrupulous experts and illegitimate programs.
But I’ve also encountered legitimate experts whose advice has helped average people make better decisions with their money.
For instance, I have encountered guys like Jeff Brown whose hands-on approach to researching investment opportunities makes him a rarity in a world where experts make predictions with little to no research done to back up their claims.
I have also reviewed Tom Gentile’s work and given him a clean bill of health on more than one occasion because he has delivered a decent number of good results to back up his promises.
Now, this doesn’t mean that these guys have never recommended duds, it’s just that their success rate has been impressive and their followers have made money in the long run.
Going back to Paul, I first encountered his work when I was reviewing Banyan Hill Publishing. I read up on a few of Paul’s projects before I decided that I should look into him.

Who is Paul Mampilly?
Paul Mampilly first grabbed people’s attention when he released a video advertising his newsletter, Profits Unlimited.
The pitch was about a stock that was linked to the Internet of Things (IoT), which he referred to as the next “industrial revolution.” He made some bold claims there and promised people “up to 8000% returns by the year 2020.”
Since that time, he has done dozens of presentations and launched a multitude of services. A huge chunk of them are published by Banyan Hill Publishing.
They include True Momentum, America 2.0, $10 Million Portfolio, Profits Unlimited, Rebound Profit Trader, Rapid Profit Trader, and IPO Speculator.
He has written a book called Profits Unlimited, named after the service, Profits Unlimited.
Paul’s investment strategy is all about taking calculated risks, a lesson he learned from his father. It has worked reasonably well for him and his clients so far, otherwise, he’d have been cast aside and we wouldn’t be talking about him.
He has worked on Wall Street in a few roles and according to him, that experience has helped him see the financial system in its true colors: “an unfair system that makes the rich richer at the expense of the ordinary folk.”

An Analysis of Paul Mampilly’s Results
This review wouldn’t be complete without analyzing Paul’s results to see whether he has delivered on his promises to his readers.
Let’s use Profits Unlimited as a sample.
When he started Profits Unlimited, he wanted to recommend good investment opportunities to Main Street investors, and he’s been doing that for a few years.
So far, some of his results have been very good. For example, his readers have made gains of 73%, 56%, 64%, and even a staggering 235%.
With those results, you can understand why some people have been following his advice loyally since he started writing newsletters.
What is Paul’s Strategy?
We’ve already mentioned that his strategy emphasizes on taking calculated risks.
If you break it down based on the recommendations he makes, a majority of them show the following trend:
- A majority, not all, of his stocks are held for a long period.
- He implements a stop-loss order on all his trades. This enables him to limit the damage if a stock moves contrary to what his expectations are.

Any Bad Results?
Not all his calls have yielded positive returns, as would be expected.
Some of his recommendations have performed poorly; and, unfortunately, those are the results his critics beat him over the head with.
For example, five stocks he has recommended to his Profits Unlimited subscribers have recorded losses of up to 11% (the stop-loss limit).
The important thing is to ensure that you invest in all his recommendations because the positive-yield stocks balance out the negative-yield ones to deliver a positive net return, overall.
This means that even with the losses, you’d still have grown your portfolio had you followed his advice.
It also serves as a lesson on the importance of diversifying your portfolio.

Is Paul Mampilly Legit?
From my assessment of his investment strategy and the results he has delivered, I think he is a legitimate investment analyst.
You can’t just focus on his bad results and pass judgment on him as his detractors have; you have to look at the bigger picture, which I have.
Furthermore, legitimacy doesn’t mean that an analyst has to deliver consistently good results. Some legit advisors have bad streaks where everything they touch turns to dust. If they can’t redeem themselves, they lose their clients or audience… It doesn’t mean that they are scam artists.
I have encountered my fair share of scammers; therefore, I can tell when someone is trying to cheat their way into people’s wallets.

My Verdict Concerning Paul Mampilly
Paul Mampilly is one analyst I expect to encounter in the future because he appears to have found an audience and his results will keep him afloat if he keeps getting them.
I should mention that you should never take his advice personally. He is not conversant with your unique financial situation, thus his recommendations should be taken as mere guidelines or suggestions.
This means that you still have to decide whether to follow them based on your investment strategy and unique financial position.
Although I have given him a clean bill of health, I will be examining his pitches and services objectively and point out their shortcomings where need be.
