What is Bauman Letter?
The Bauman Letter is an investment advisory service offered by Ted Bauman and published by Banyan Hill Publishing.
Ted started this service to help people improve their financial position and become rich.
When he ventured into the world of investment, he quickly realized that failing to invest had left him exposed to financial challenges. Although he had a good job, he was financially vulnerable.
Putting his money into a portfolio and watching it grow gave him a taste of financial freedom. He learned painful lessons on what it takes to be successful in the markets. He launched the newsletter because he wanted to teach people those lessons so they could avoid his mistakes.
The Bauman Letter does not discriminate the rich from the poor. Whether you are starting with a modest capital base or a war chest, Ted’s recommendations are designed to improve your financial situation.
You are free to take his advice or dismiss it because technically, his advice is not personal. He is unaware of your financial position and merely suggests possible investment openings you can capitalize on. It is beneficial that you scrutinize his recommendations before you take them on.

Who is Ted Bauman?
Ted Bauman is Robert Bauman’s son. If you don’t know who Robert Bauman is, he is a former congressman who represented Maryland’s first congressional district in the US. House of Representatives between 1973 and 1981.
Ted moved to South Africa as a young man and graduated from the University of Cape Town with degrees in economics, economic history, and politics (all were postgrad).
He worked in various executive roles in a couple of non-profits in South Africa. When he moved back to America, he worked in a variety of consultancy roles.
In 2013, he quit and became a full-time analyst and writer. He joined Banyan Hill Publishing the same year and now edits the Bauman Letter, the 10X Project, Alpha Stock Alert, and Bauman Daily.

How does the Bauman Letter work?
Ted believes in building a diversified portfolio that is designed to minimize risk while making steady gains with a healthy mix of investments that swing for the fences and capture oversized returns.
Every stock or ETF he recommends has to meet his four criteria that form his BOLD system. BOLD is an acronym for Big Vision, Open for takeoff, Logical moves, and Distinct catalyst.
For Ted to recommend a company, it must have a big vision, be well-positioned to take off, be a reasonable (logical) move for investors, and have a distinct characteristic (a catalyst) that sets it apart from its competitors.

Merits of Bauman Letter
- Bauman is well-traveled and has worked in diverse environments. This gives him an edge over other analysts who haven’t had his experiences.
- The Bauman Letter encourages diversification because it draws its recommendations from a wide variety of financial instruments. This is great for risk management.
- Bauman’s strategy mixes up a conservative approach with an aggressive one ensuring that all investors across the risk-taking spectrum are taken care of.
Demerits of Bauman Letter
- No matter how water-tight Ted wants us to perceive his strategy, he still makes bad calls that lead to losses for those who follow them.
Is Bauman Letter legit?
I think the Bauman Letter is legit because Ted Bauman is a reliable source of investment advice.
He has been quoted by mainstream financial media publications like Forbes, MarketWatch, Barron’s, Benzinga, and The Guardian. He has also published some of his work on international journals.
This all goes to prove that he is legitimate because those publications wouldn’t entertain the opinions of a scammer. They each have a reputation to look after.
Nevertheless, while I think the Bauman Letter is legit, it is not a guarantee that his advice will yield spectacular results in the stock market. There is a distinction between legitimacy and success.

My Final Word on Bauman Letter
Ted Bauman is not your usual analyst because he has traveled to over 80 countries in the world and learned from his experiences in each. He has a unique perspective drawn from his experiences that few others in his line of work can even dream of having. Therefore, he makes for a reliable source of advice.
Ted’s predominantly conservative approach makes his strategy ideal for you irrespective of your age or investment needs. Although he mixes it up with aggressive plays designed to bring in oversized returns, even risk-averse individuals feel at home with his advice.
